Hi,
My name is Nick Davis and I am the owner, photographer and general dogsbody of Nicks Pics Photography.
Based in Bury St Edmunds in rural Suffolk and specialise in portrait photography and wedding photography. I am a Suffolk wedding photographer at heart but work across east anglia and beyond. I mainly shoot portraits in natural surroundings such as Nowton Park and the Abbey Gardens and use the natural beauty of the surroundings to create balanced images that show you or your loved ones of to the best.
I first picked up a camera when I was 8 and was fascinated as to how it worked. I went on from there borrowing my parents 35mm SLR taking pictures regularly until my late teens when other things took my interest!! Fast forward to 2008 and I was frustrated at the images that I was getting from my compact camera so after a lot of saving I got my first Digital SLR and the photography bug had well and truly bitten again.
I soon realised that along with wildlife that I was fascinated at capturing pictures of people, particularly my children William and Jessica. Jessica is adorable and has become quite the young model however William is a different case. He has special needs and suffers from condition called Tuberous Sclerosis. He has Epilepsy, ADHD, Autism and challenging behaviour and is my own weapon of mass destruction.
Although not that happy to have his picture taken he does enjoy looking at himself on the computer. What William has taught me is that to capture his true spirit takes ingenuity and patience – skills which I will use to capture you or your loved ones true image.
If you are looking to get married you want a set of images that you can look back on in years to come and remember those special moments from your special day. As a wedding photographer it is important to me to capture all the moments and my wedding package includes a full days shooting starting from the bridal preparations to the arival at the venue followed by the ceremony, formal shots and up to the first dance.
