Margaret & Dave Pre wedding shoot - Abbey Gardens Bury St Edmunds

Today was the turn of Margaret and Dave for their pre wedding shoot ahead of the big day in October. I have known Margaret since I started work many years ago and it was a pleasure to be asked to capture her big day with Dave.

We chose the beautiful Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds as a place to have the shoot with its stunning flowerbeds and landscapes along with the amazing Cathedral as a backdrop.

Once the shoot was competed we headed of to a local hostelry to have a proper catch up over a pint (or three) of Greene Kings finest!!! Can't wait for the big day in October.

Henry's Holiday Help Christmas Party

On Saturday I was delighted to be able to help Henry's Holiday Help at very short notice. Their usual photographer was struck down with illness and, as a number of the children at the party were undergoing medical treatment, I was able to become the replacement. Henry's Holiday Help was set up after Henry underwent successful treatment for a brain tumour. The charity works hard to support children and their families locally that are undergoing or have had cancer treatment. One of the ways is with an awesome Christmas Party.

Having a son who is severely disabled makes you realise what a blessing charities like Henry's Holiday Help are with their support and help, and for that reason, it was an honour to be able to spend some time capturing the fun and games at the party. Anyway enough of me here are a few of my favourites.

Lesley & Alan at Leez Priory

Yesterday saw me head of to Essex for my final wedding of 2016. It was the big day for the lovely Lesley and Alan who were tying the knot (finally!!) at the stunning Leez Priory. The weather could not have been better with clear blue skies in every direction and although a tad cold at times it was a perfect day.

I met up with Lesley in the midst of bridal preparations and can say it was a very chilled and relaxed time. Alan then arrived with the boys to get ready and it was quickly off to the ceremony. Afterwards with drinks and food aplenty the guests were treated to a stunning firework display that was a secret up until the first one was lit.

Fulfil the Wish Bendrigg adventure

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure as a family of attending a Fulfil the Wish activity week at the Bendrigg Trust in Cumbria. The centre is set up to cater for people with all types of disability and offers outdoor adventure activities that everyone can take part in. Over the week we went on activities such as Zip wire, Rock climbing, Caving, Canoeing on Lake Windemere and much much more.

As a trustee for Fulfil the Wish I am lucky to be able to bring my photography skills to the table and capture some of the amazing moments and achievements of the kids we take. Here are a few of my favourites from the week.
